Jagan releases second list with major changes!

YSR Congress party president and Andhra Pradesh chief minister Y S Jagan Mohan Reddy on Tuesday night released the second list of candidates for the upcoming Lok Sabha and state assembly elections, making major reshuffle of candidates.

Jagan changed four sitting MPs – Talari Rangaiah from Anantapur, Gorantla Madhav from Hindupur, Goddeti Madhavi from Araku (ST) and Margani Bharat from Rajahmundry. 

In the first three MP seats, the sitting MPs were replaced by Malagundla Sankaranarayana, Joladarashi Shanta and Kottagulli Bhagya Lakshmi respectively.

Sankaranayana was hitherto been YSRC MLA from Penukonda assembly constituency, while Joladarashi Shanta was a Bharatiya Janata Party MP from Bellary parliamentary constituency in 2009, but was disqualified by the Karnataka high court in 2012 for election irregularities. She has now moved to Hindupur and will contest as YSRC MP from Hindupur.

Kottagulli Bhagya Lakshmi is presently YSRC MLA from Paderu and she has now been moved to Araku Parliamentary constituency, in place of Goddeti Madhavi, who will be contesting for the assembly seat from Araku.

Margani Bharat has been named as the party MLA from Rajahmundry city assembly constituency.
