According to the New York Post, a Texas homeowner was left in shock when he returned to his property to find that it had been vandalized and damaged.
Reportedly, a large group of teenagers had broken into the Austin-based home while the family was away, with the party being promoted on social media app Snapchat as a "Mansion Rager."
The homeowner, who chose to remain anonymous, received numerous phone calls from neighbors alerting him to the situation, prompting him to rush to his property to investigate.
Upon arriving, the homeowner discovered his front gate broken, the front door wide open, and lights on throughout the house.
The teenagers had left behind a trail of destruction, littering the property with beer and White Claw cans and even smashing the TV.
The homeowner further stated that they had thrown tools through the sheetrock of his garage and scattered his daughter's toys around the property, causing thousands of dollars in damages.
After examining articles of clothing left behind, it was determined that hundreds of kids from nearby schools had attended the party. The Travis County Sheriff's Office is investigating the incident and urging anyone with information to come forward.
A similar incident occurred last year in Florida when teenagers broke into an $8 million mansion, stealing several valuable items, including a $1,500 bottle of wine, a $3,500 Yves Saint Laurent purse, and a football signed by former Colts quarterback Peyton Manning.
