The daily updates regarding the pandemic is mentally demoralizing the people as they fear about losing jobs. Yes, though no official lockdown, already a great number of theatres in Andhra Pradesh were closed down resulting in the ousting of several blue collar workers.
When the people are advised to stay indoors, the traffic at malls also gets reduced eventually leading to poor sales and thus affecting the businesses.
The film shoots are also going on at a slow and lethargic pace now. When the actors and the crew members are getting affected with the pandemic, the shootings are getting cancelled thereby causing trouble to the daily wagers.
On the whole, the scenario is mentally challenging for many people in different fields.
Besides, being restricted to home for a longer time makes some people physically lazy and mentally down.
So to beat Covid-19 some experts are sharing some ideas and information.
"First, keep away from knowing the daily count of the Covid-19 positives. It is needless to say that the count increases to at least four to five times of what we are seeing now. Don't panic if you get a headache or fever. You might have suffered with those many times before. Just take it normal. Think about meeting a doctor only when you find it too difficult to handle yourself. 95% of the cases become negative within 14-21 days with mild, reasonable or no symptoms. So, nothing to worry much about", says Arun Kumar, a psychiatrist.
He also continues to say, "Keep watching movies on OTT, watch IPL and exercise at least for 20 minutes in a day, eat a healthy diet and sleep well".
"Covid-19 is as common as common cold now. So, don't think much about it. Anyway, vaccines are also in the market. Don't get mentally down with unnecessary thinking. Wear a mask, use hand wash and think positive", says Rajesh Chakravarthy, a medical practitioner.
India is seeing daily new cases between 2.3 lakh to 3 lakh now. Though there is no official lockdown, the governments are advising the people to play safe and not to come out unless there is something very necessary.
