Mumbai: Swashbuckling former India captain and current skipper of IPL team Chennai Super Kings Mahendra Singh Dhoni could not have had a better 2018.
After leading CSK to another IPL victory, Dhoni has signed a whopping ₹15 crore, 3-year brand endorsement deal with German cybersecurity company, WardWiz.
Before Ward-Wiz, Dhoni had signed a similar 3-year deal with Pune-based Indigo Paints for an undisclosed amount and had picked up a 25% stake in sports tech startup Run Adam for being a mentor and brand ambassador for the company.
“I am very excited to be associated with WardWiz that has always been displayed as the booster and one-stop shop in complete security for personal computers and mobile systems,” Dhoni said after signing the deal. “I am working closely with them on my ideas too.”
WardWiz, which offers security solution products for both PCs and mobiles, is looking to expand its portfolio in the Indian market.
Welcoming him to the WardWiz family, Abhijeet Khot, CEO — India said that Dhoni shares the same missionary zeal and is a true portrayal of the company’s vision for being sprightly and successful.
“Our association is the right fit with many common factors and I am sure this alliance will emphasise the factor that the brand is the best choice for our patrons,” Khot said.
“We believe we have embarked on a journey and with him on board and we are even more excited about the road that lies ahead.” Sports management company Aarka Sports swung the deal for Dhoni.
