The Bhartiya Janata Party (BJP) launched the first episode of a mini-series called "Congress Files" on Sunday, targeting the Congress party with allegations of corruption and scams throughout its 70-year history in India.
The video, released on the BJP's official Twitter handle, claimed that the Congress party had looted Rs 48,20,69,00,00,000 from the public during its tenure, money that could have been used for security and development.
The episode stated that during Congress's 10-year rule from 2004 to 2014, it was a "Lost Decade."
The video claimed that the government was led by Manmohan Singh, who turned a blind eye to corruption that occurred under his rule.
It went on to list various scams that took place during Congress's rule, such as the Coal scam, 2G Spectrum scam, MNREGA scam, Commonwealth scam, and bribery in the helicopter deal with Italy and the Chairman of Railway Board.
The video ended with the BJP stating that this was only the trailer of Congress's corruption, and there would be more episodes to come.
The Congress party had earlier attacked the BJP over the Adani issue and released a series of questions under the campaign "Hum Adani Ke Hain Kaun."
