Lockdown in India is extended upto May 3rd. The strict lockdown is still in vogue in many countries. But the experts are advising various governments including India to continue the lockdown till May 24th. Here is the reason.
The Holy month of Ramadan is beginning on April 23rd. Muslims observe this month with utmost devotion performing regular prayers in mosques and adhering to fasting.
Not only the Muslims, but many people from all the communities love to relish their favorite Haleem in the most crowded hubs especially in Hyderabad through out this month.
The festival will be observed on May 23rd this year. Following the social distancing norms will be almost impossible this entire month.
Already Maulana Khalid Rasheed Farangi Mahali, the Imam of Aishwabg Eidgah, Lucknow has appealed to the Muslim community to observe prayers and fasting only at home.
He has also advised to give money for charity in the name of Iftar parties. So, the appeal is to continue these norms as long as the lockdown is in vogue during the Holy month of Ramadan.
So, keeping the Covid threat in consideration, the experts are advising the governments of both the states and the center to extend the lockdown till May 24th. These advices are being given to world leaders as Muslim population is all pervasive.
