Girl up Karnataka was able to reach a large audience by conducting live videos of some of India’s biggest celebrities such as Sonu Sood, Urvashi Rautela, Raashi Khanna, etc, and also many international celebrities such as Colleen Callander and Avanti Nagral.
The live videos served as an inspiration to many during the lockdown as they were able to create a change, even while restricted to four walls. Girl up Karnataka grew to a 30 member organization within just a few months.
This Bengaluru teen’s UN Foundation-affiliated initiative is going miles in tackling gender issues not only in India but also in the United States.
