It is needless to say that Donald Trump's governance, in association with the ideas proposed by Elon Musk, would negatively impact not only the USA but also the world.
Governance requires a balanced approach. The first and foremost priority is to build the trust of investors. Beyond that, there should be consistency in decision-making and implementation.
However, Trump has a pattern of making decisions and then either stepping back or delaying implementation. These delaying tactics are further frustrating investors, which is one of the reasons the NASDAQ is suffering.
Even if it revives slightly, it is almost certain to decline again with another unpredictable announcement from Trump.
Over the next four years, the stock market is likely to behave like a flickering light - neither bullish nor bearish, but irritatingly volatile, with unpredictable ups and downs in the shortest time intervals.
Many praise Elon Musk as the most intelligent man in the world. However, just as a rich man’s joke is always considered funny, the world’s richest man is often labeled as the "most intelligent." But steering a nation's economy requires exceptional maneuvering skills, not just intelligence.
If Tesla shares had remained strong while the rest of the market was struggling, one could argue that Musk is truly a genius. However, that has not happened.
The trust in Tesla shares has been severely shaken, leaving investors regretting their decisions and crying foul over their investments.
Whenever a businessman enters politics, there is an inevitable conflict of interest between his business goals and his political responsibilities. As an advisor, Musk is bound to negatively impact the economy.
Unfortunately, Elon Musk has attracted many critics and detractors from within the Republican and Democratic parties, as well as from neutral observers, due to his divisive advice that is steering the nation in the wrong direction.
Needless to say, this could also pose a security threat to him. It is time for him to safeguard his life, business, and well-being. Stepping away from advising Trump would be the wisest decision for him.
Donald Trump, on the other hand, should not assume that he is transforming the nation with his policies.
Transitioning a country’s economy is like repairing an aircraft mid-flight - it must be done with precision and caution, or the entire system could come crashing down.
Such a transition should be so smooth that it goes unnoticed, much like how the US dollar conquered the world economy. For that to happen, the USA must build international trust, diplomatic cordiality, and economic stability. However, Trump is failing to do so.
His approach is more akin to that of a capitalist dictator rather than a democratic leader.
