American Telugu Association, ATA, a burgeoning Telugu organization celebrated ATA Ugadi Sahiti Sadassu virtually on Saturday April 17th. About 5000 people all across the world participated in the event that was telecast live on ATA TV, ABR TV, FB live and TV5.
Literary Committee chair Sharada Singireddy welcomed the audiences and in her inaugural address quoted that Literature provides an opportunity for character enhancement and encouraged Telugu people to encourage our literature. Yamini Spurthi Meduru recited the inaugural song. Krishnaveni M handled the anchor responsibilities.
ATA president Bhuvanesh Boojala wished the Telugu community on the occasion of Plava nama Ugadi and stressed upon the need to pass on our traditions and values to the second generation. Mr.Boojala reiterated that the rich Telugu cultural heritage, traditions and values are the core driving force behind ATA.
Sharada peetam asthana priest Sri Sankaramanchi RamaKrishna garu read the panchanga sravanam. Chief guest, maha sahasravadhani, Dr.Garikaparti Narasimha rao garu spoke eloquently about the Ugadi occasion and the importance of it on mankind. Advised audiences that having a positive attitude towards life is the key to happiness.
Lyricist Vanamali, hashya brahma Dr. Sankar’s Narayan, Sri KA Suresh Pillai writer and Journalist and Dr.Afsar Mohammad writer and faculty at the university of Pennsylvania, graced the occasion and enthralled the audience. Literary committee co-chair Pavan Girla presented vote of thanks.
ATA board of trustees and committee members wished the Telugu community members on the occasion of Telugu new year.
