Prasad & Sobha Reddy Donated $1/2 MN to SNUSA

On February 15th 2025, Sankara Nethralaya USA (SN USA) organized a Meet & Greet program in Atlanta to recognize and honor Sri. Prasada Reddy Katamreddy for his generous contribution of $500,000 to establish a new Mobile Eye Surgical Unit (MESU) and for sponsoring 11 Adopt-A-Village programs.

MESU is a hospital on wheels and will cover an area of 500 kilometers radius. Each MESU consists of two buses. These buses go to remote villages and do surgeries in the field itself.  One bus is used as a preparatory unit and the other bus is used as an operating theater. Big applause and appreciation from the entire audience when Bala Indurti announced a mega donation $500,000.00 (USD Five Hundred Thousand Dollars) from Prasada Reddy garu and Sobha Reddy garu.

Sankara Nethralaya USA announced Sri. Prasada Reddy Katamreddy as a Brand Ambassador of SN USA and felicitated him for his kind act. Felicitation was done with sacred mantras from priest Srinivas Sharma from Hindu Temple of Atlanta seeking the blessings of God.

Success of the event was made possible by the active participation of Atlanta renowned classical singers and young talented students who graced the stage with their dance performances. Each singer sang two classical songs on Lord Shiva. The event hall was filled with devotion.

Everyone applauded the singers for their songs.  Singers who created Lord Shiva vibes are Phani Dokka, Ram Durvasula, Srinivas Durgam, Sandeep Kowtha, Durga Gora, Srivalli Sridhar, Shilpa Uppuluri, Usha Mocherla, and Janardhan Pannela.  This will help SN USA to reach many satellite chapters through virtual programs.

We extend our heartfelt gratitude to all the academies, Gurus, and students who contributed to making this event a grand success. The evening was a celebration of not only art but also the spirit of community and giving, with every singer and volunteer playing a vital role in raising funds for those who need it most.
