The job market is very strong in the first quarter of 2023, barring a few layoffs in California by software product companies whose CEOs have lived a life of excesses.
As good times do not last long, these larger-than-life software developers earning half a million dollars in salary, bonuses and stock perks are being laid off now. If the CEOs of these companies had been more careful with their excessive spending, these people would have still been employed.
Many immigrants have come from their home countries to live the American dream. Additional work can be done during the weekends, if necessary, when project deadlines are tight. Some end clients are not offering “worldwide remote” options in IT consulting for entire year or part of the year letting the IT consultant travel and work if the employee desires to do so.
