In the first week of April, the state government transferred Suresh Babu from the post of Kanaka Durga temple EO, following several complaints of irregularities allegedly indulged in by him.

The ACB in its report pointed out that Suresh Babu had made payments against the wish of the Endowments Commissioner. While 15 employees of the temple were suspended, Suresh Babu was spared initially, but was shifted out of his post later.
Surprisingly, after the transfer, Suresh Babu was posted as Regional Joint Commissioner Endowments Department, Rajamahendravaram, with immediate effect. However, following criticism from various quarters, the posting was cancelled and he was asked to report to the government.
But after everybody forgot the scam in the Kanaka Durga temple after a month, the government quietly posted Suresh him as RJC, Rajahmundry. He would be taking charge in a day or two.
Sources said Suresh Babu is a close associate of endowments minister Vellampalli Srinivas Rao and hence, could easily escape the punishment and instead, got the promotion.
