Tammareddy said, "I remembered my college days watching the film. When I started my Engineering Studies in Osmania University in 1969, there used to be a negative feeling about back bench students. But despite failure in education, if students know their abilities and work on them, they can really shine. That’s what is shown in Back Bench Student. And I really loved the scene where father comes to his son to have coffee knowing his success. I have some moments where my eyes turned wet watching tender scenes in this film".
Madhura Sreedhar hilariously said, "Like poor scores for back benchers, even 'Back Bench Student' scored less in the evaluation of critics. But the collections are going better from show to show. I'm happy for that. So, like the back bencher in our film, even our film becomes successful commercially. Tammareddy Bharadwaja ji's feedback is like oxygen for me. I didn’t make this film with any vulgarity or obscenity. It is a message oriented love story. I only wish parents also come to watch this film with their children".
