Worst politics by Cong to grab Kadapa!

The Congress party is resorting to politics of the worst kind to grab the Kadapa District Cooperative Central Bank (DCCB) despite the fact that the YSR Congress party had won the maximum number of director posts.

There are in all 21 posts of directors in DCCB, but elections could not be held for seven posts due to defaulting of crop loan payments. Of the remaining 14, the YSR Congress party had won eight and the remaining six seats were bagged by the Congress. Obviously, the YSR Congress party should get the DCCB chairman post.

However, the Congress, which could not win even a single election in Kadapa after the formation of YSR Congress party, is trying to grab the DCCB chairman posts by hook or crook. G Anil Reddy, son of Kamalapuram MLA and Congress leader G Veerasiva Reddy, is a strong contender for DCCB president’s post.

So, it managed to get the elections postponed on Tuesday and on Wednesday, it sought to defer the polls again by allegedly getting DCCB returning officer Chandrasekhar abducted. However, Kadapa Collector appointed another officer as the returning officer to conduct the elections, subject to approval from the higher-ups in Hyderabad. Till now, the elections are not held.
