JP Not To Contest Assembly Polls Next Time!

Lok Satta president Dr Jayaprakash Narayan is most likely to drop out of the contest in the next assembly elections.

JP, who represents Kukatpalli assembly constituency in Hyderabad, has apparently realized that there are little chances of him getting re-elected in 2014 because of strong contest from Telangana Rashtra Samithi as well as the YSR Congress party. While there are quite a few candidates in race on behalf of the TRS, the YSR Congress party is likely to field either actor Srihari or local strongman Vaddepalli Narsing Rao as its candidate from Kukatpalli.

Under these circumstances, it would be difficult for JP to retain his seat. Moreover, he is no more a favourite of the local people. And JP also might be thinking that it would be honorable for him to make an exit, rather than facing the defeat. However, he said if at all he changed his mind, he would contest only from Kukatpalli.
