With Andhra Pradesh Non-Gazetted Officers Association (APNGOs) giving a call for “Chalo Hyderabad” to highlight the demands of the state government employees, the Telangana NGOs are going all out to stall the rally, alleging that it was primarily meant for highlighting the Samaikyandhra demand.
As part of the strategy to stop the Andhra employees attending the rally, the TNGOs, with the support of Telangana political joint action committee (TJAC), called for “Sadak Bandh” (blockade of national highway) on Hyderabad-Vijayawada highway that connects Coastal Andhra with Hyderabad. The Telangana activists are planning to stall all the vehicles coming from Coastal Andhra side to enter Hyderabad. And if there is any such an attempt, there is every possibility of physical violence.
The APNGOs said the present rally had nothing to do with the Samaikyandhra demand, but was meant for highlighting the employees issues.
“We request the TJAC to postpone their sadak bandh programme on March 2. If they still block the national highway, the employees would reach Hyderabad even on foot,” the APNGO leaders said.
There are also other possibilities. Since the TJAC is blocking only the Vijayawada highway, the APNGOs can reach Hyderabad via Guntur, Macherla, Nagarjunasagar and Ranga Reddy into Hyderabad. And there is no restriction for Rayalaseema employees as well!
