Deputy Chief Minister Damodar Raja Narasimha, who used to maintain a low key on the Telangana statehood issue in the past, is expressing his views rather openly these days.
On Tuesday, Damodar took an indirect dig at chief minister N Kiran Kumar Reddy and governor E S L Narasimhan for feeding wrong information to the Centre on the Telangana statehood issue.
“Some leaders are submitting wrong reports to the Congress high command against the Telangana agitation. They should realise that the Congress party would have to face serious repercussions if the Telangana statehood is not granted. The people of this region will never forgive the Congress party,” he said, while inaugurating a daily on Telangana.
He appealed to the Telangana youth not to commit suicides for the cause of separate state, as the Centre would take a decision very soon. “Let us wait till a decision is taken,” he said.
