Naidu Not To Stop With 117-Day Padayatra

Telugu Desam Party president N Chandrababu Naidu, who had embarked on his marathon padayata at Hindupur in Anantapur district on October 2, coinciding with Gandhi Jayanti, is supposed to end it on Saturday, coinciding with Republic Day, as per the original schedule.

His schedule has been fixed in such a way that he would cover a distance of 2,340 km in a span of 117 days – the digits in the numbers add up to 9. However, because of short breaks and slow pace of walk, Naidu could not cover the entire distance in 117 days. That is why he has decided not to stop his padayatra and wants to continue till he reaches up to the final destination of Ichchapuram in Srikakulam district.

As of now, he has not fixed any deadline to end the padayatra, though party leaders say he might end it on March 22, coinciding with the party foundation day. However, because Naidu is not keeping good health and his feet are troubling, he might not stick to this deadline also. But, party leaders say he might not sustain it during summer.
