To be a good and successful director, it is not sufficient to come up with a good film. The director must have the ability to keep an eye on the budget and also be in good terms with everyone. This could be quite challenging but that’s how it is. Such a litmus test is now being faced by the noted director Lawrence.
 
According to many cine folks, Lawrence has a bad image in terms of branding. And his last venture ‘Rebel’ took Lawrence to the lowest level. Already, the Producers council has fined him Rs 2.5 crores for leading the producers of ‘Rebel’ to a loss of nearly Rs 20 crores.
 
Many are saying that if Lawrence has to prove himself he should do a film in small budget and get big profits. He should get the image of bringing high returns to producers with less investment. Maybe something like ‘Kanchana’ would be an effective project for Lawrence to bail out from this image crisis.
 
And Muni-3 is opening today at 8 AM in Annapurna Studio. We have to see how far Lawrence will prove his potency at producer Bellamkonda, the producer of the film.
