The Congress high command has no sense and no gratitude towards senior leaders who had been lending relentless services to the party for several decades, says senior Congress leader and Eluru MP Kavuri Sambasiva Rao.
Kavuri told the media in Guntur that he had been working for the Congress party for the last four decades and had no worry about his political future.
“All these days, I had been under the impression that the Congress high command has some sense. But with the recent cabinet reshuffle, it is now proved that it has no sense or gratitude. While ignoring seniors like me who have been loyal and sincere towards the party, it has pampered new comers and defectors from other parties,” he said.
He asserted that he would not run away from politics like a timid person. “I will cease to be an MP from January 1. And I don’t think I would get a call from party president Sonia Gandhi before that. I have not yet decided as to which party I should join,” Kavuri said.
