Not many went out as the cricket finals were on and they were busy enjoying chilled beers and fine liquors cheering for the Indian team in their homes.
A noted petrol pump owner at Basheerbagh, Hyderabad said “This is ironical. It was like there was curfew in city and though there were crowds seen at wine shops most of them came and left hurriedly. Even our sales dropped significantly and were way below average collections.” So, while the wine men were pumped up with cash, the petrol pumps were running dry.
