As YSR Congress party president Y S Jaganmohan Reddy is inching towards his destination of his marathon 3,000 km long Praja Sankalpa Yatra, he is displaying the same kind of enthusiasm and determination as he had on the day one of his yatra.
He is now not getting disturbed by any hurdles and he wants to reach the finishing line as per the schedule.
On Thursday, Jagan had a miraculous escape from a major attack by honeybees, while he was on his 183rd day of padayatra in the Nidadavolu assembly segment of West Godavari district.
According to reports, as Jagan came out of his camp outside Nadipallikota to Kanuru Cross Roads where he will be staying overnight, a large number of honeybees attacked him and the party workers surrounding him.
It is not immediately known whether somebody accidentally disturbed the beehive, forcing the honeybees attacking them.
As the panicky people ran for safety, party workers around him and security personnel immediately provided a protective cover around Jagan with towels. They took the stings of the honeybees, while ensuring that Jagan did not receive any bites.
Interestingly, Jagan continued to walk amidst chaos, as security personnel drove away the honeybees with towels.
At least 10 party workers are said to have received injuries in the bee attack. They were admitted to local hospital for treatment.
