YSR Congress party on Saturday accused Telugu Desam Party president and Andhra Pradesh chief minister N Chandrababu Naidu of shielding the corrupt illegal stone quarry operators, who were responsible for the Friday night’s quarry blast at Aluru in Kurnool district.
YSRC general secretary N Lakshmi Parvathi told media that the quarry operator was a TDP leader. While he was allotted only one quarry, he was conducting illegal quarrying of stones in two other mines as well without permission.
“He could not have done without the backing of the TDP big bosses,” she said.
Strongly condemning the negligence of the Naidu government for backing the illegal mining which resulted in the Friday’s blast at a quarry Lakshmi Parvathi said Naidu had been shielding the people responsible for the blast which resulted in loss of human life besides eroding the ecological balance.
“Illegal mining has been going on in a big way in the district with the active involvement of TDP leaders and Naidu left for Chennai soon after announcing ex-gratia in a hurry without showing any concern for the loss of human life or the circumstances which led to the blast,” she said.
LP alleged that nepotism had been the keyword of TDP government and aidu had never taken action against any of the persons of his party or coterie who were involved in various scams, irregularities and mishaps.
Being in the Union Cabinet for four years and now shouting at the top of his voice that the Centre was not cooperative has no meaning and if this is the wisdom he wants to spread there will be no takers, she said.
“The actual wisdom lies in the fact if he accepts his folly on various fronts right from breaking of poll promises, to break down of law and order, growing atrocities on women, failure to take all sections of society into confidence, the many scams like Call Money Sex racket, suicides by students in educational institutions owned by his cabinet minister and the like,” she said.
