There were reports in the past that YSR Congress party leadership reportedly asked its firebrand MLA from Nagari R K Roja to hold her tongue and maintain restraint while attacking the Telugu Desam Party in general and its president N Chandrababu Naidu in particular.
But now and then, Roja surfaces in public and continues to make pungent remarks against Naidu.
On Thursday, she once again spew venom on Naidu for targeting YSRC president Y S Jaganmohan Reddy on the Kapu reservations issue.
“It looks like Naidu’s small brain has atrophied. That is why he is speaking all non-sense. It is better the chief minister is immediately admitted into a mental hospital for treatment,” Roja said.
Reacting to the TDP chief’s comment that he had not taken any U-turn on special category status, Roja wondered whether Naidu had lost all his senses.
“Was it not Naidu who passed a resolution in the state assembly thanking the Central government for giving special financial package? Is it not true that he had praised BJP for giving the best ever package to the state?
Was it not Naidu who changed his stand after YSRC MPs offered their resignations from their posts? If it is not a U-turn, what else is it called?” she asked.
She accused Naidu of mortgaging the interests of the state before the Narendra Modi government to safeguard his ill-gotten assets.
“Jagan has been facing only cases on ill-gotten assets. But the fact is that those assets were amassed by Naidu himself,” she alleged.
Roja wondered why Modi was not confiscating the assets of Naidu, who was the richest chief minister in the country.
“His newly constructed house in Jubilee Hills itself costs Rs 250 crore. Not a single TDP leader was invited for the house-warming ceremony. That is the kind of secrecy he is maintaining only because it was all ill-gotten money,” she alleged.
