Seetha Ramudu (Shivaji)
saves a young man from a killer at a Railway Station.
The young man wishes to express his gratitude for Seetha
Ramudu but his whereabouts turn difficult to identify.
That young man’s father if Ramulu (Rahul Dev),
who is a powerful goon in the place. Ramulu loves his
son than anything else. He promises that he would bring
the person who saved him to express the gratitude.
On the other hand, Anjali (Ankitha) and Seetha Ramudu
love each other and decide to marry. But the son of
Ramulu also loves Anjali. After knowing all this, Ramulu
attempts to kill Seetha Ramudu to make the love line
clear for his son. In the climax, knowing that it is
his saver who loved the girl, the young man asks his
father to keep away from killing him.
Rest of the story is how Anjali and Seetha Ramudu unite.
In fact, there is no suspense in the film and hence
the story is narrated here completely. There is nothing
to hide because the story will be known to every viewer
within 30 minutes of start of film.
Performances
Shivaji is good at acting
but the mass action punch is missing in him. His face isn’t
in tune with seriousness. Especially, in the scenes before
climax, while Shivaji challenges Rahul Dev, the scene got
diluted due to the mismatch of chemistry between Rahul Dev
and Shivaji’s challenging dialogues. Ankitha is glamorous
and gorgeous. Rest of the artistes performed well to their
level best and justified the roles.
Music:
Ramana Gogula’s music is just average. Even the background
scores are nothing new to talk about.
Dialogues:
Dialogues are just in accordance with story line but not
completely in tune with trend. The following dialogue is
difficult to understand for common man:
Rahul Dev (looking at Ankitha): Navvuthu Oppukuntey Brahmana
Padhdhathi, Yedusthu Yediristhey Gaandharva Padhdhathi.
Analysis
The film is made on beaten
track that’s known for every Telugu cinema viewer. The
film has no thrill, no suspense and no enthusiasm booster.
It’s a flat and plane narration with routine formula.
Although there are action sequences with shouts, challenges
and flamboyance all those have turned out fashioned now. The
film would have bagged considerable applause if it were released
before ‘Samarasimha Reddy’ or ‘Preminchukundaam
Raa’. But now, it’s rotten.
First half of the film is
ok with humor and action episodes. Interval break is lifeless
and the second half happens to be a mere shot continuation.
Climax of the film is dull and it’s everybody’s
guess in the theater.
Songs are grooved in at irrelevant
situations. Certain times, songs also marred the flow of film.
The comedy track of bomb blast on Ali is an old one and already
shown in one of the Telugu films earlier. But the comedy track
between Surya, Sivaji, Hema and Ankitha is really good and
deserves a mention.
Ankitha’s glamour assets
for a few seconds in a song bring in little relief for mass
audiences. Ankitha appears in swimsuit in that number.
The film runs in B and C centers
a bit better than in A centers.
Audience Response:
The theaters have turned houseful for all the shows and thus
openings proved good. Only the posters of Ankitha and TV trailers
have brought the audiences to theatres. Word of mouth publicity
will be weak for this film.
Bottom Line:
Attempt to watch this film only to kill time.
