The latest hot speculation doing the rounds in the industry is that a biopic is being planned on the life of YS Rajasekhar Reddy and Mahi V Raghav of Anando Brahma fame will be directing it.
And the makers have approached none other than Akkineni Nagarjuna to play the role of YSR.
Nagarjuna is believed to have asked them for a comprehensive script based on which he would take a call on whether he can do justice to the role of a leader of YSR’s stature.
And another interesting thing is that the major focus of the film would be on the period from 1999-2004, a period when Chandrababu came to power for the second time and YSR really struggled a lot financially.
But he rose to the challenge and not only did he unite the Congress party and its various factions, his Padayatra marked a turning point in the politics of the State. It is this period that would be primarily highlighted.
