Junior NTR is showing his crowd pulling power yet again with Jai Lava Kusa that is off to a flier at the box office. It is one of the biggest opening movies of the year.
With literally no other film in the market, Jai Lava Kusa has open ground for six days until Spyder hits the marquee.
Although the word of mouth is average, the film should make the most of its first weekend. Result of Spyder will decide the final range of Jai Lava Kusa, but before that buyers are doing their best to recover their investment.
It is running in most number of screens on its second day too. JLK got more number of screens than Baahubali 2 in some centers.
Last week’s releases Ungarala Rambabu, Meda Meeda Abbayi and Srivalli ended up as duds. None of the September releases prior to Jai Lava Kusa really made a mark. NTR’s stardom has finally set the cash registers ringing.
Trade is hoping that this will continue until October third week with many notable films lined up for release.
